BSA703-Concerns with Pick a path project
So it was voted on that we would be making a choose your own adventure.
While this a cool idea in theory, there is a lot of technical problems that have already been raised.
We have a small group of 15 students. The scale in which this project needs to be great is a full production company.
I did some independent research into creating a choose your own adventure story. Here is the problems I have found
- Peoples core talents not utilized
- Choices need to have meaning (not like Telltale games)
- Its very complicated to create a good story for a choose your own adventure
- How will we display this effectively?
- The flowchart for this project is complicated and messy
- It took 2 years to make a 1hr 30min project like this, and that was with a fully professional production company
- There isn't a lot of time to create something like this
- No time has been suggested for project
- No room for error which will cause so much stress later on
- Script writing and storyboarding needs to be done by proposal
