SIT ANIMATION YEAR 3

 

 In my pursuit of landing the producer role, I have been working on the production pipeline and schedules. My hope is that by doing this work before hand it will instill confidence into my team to choose me as their producer for this project.  I have worked on my CV and Cover Letter for this role so that I may present them on Monday. I am also working on a showcase for this as well. 

 ON Monday we had a very lengthy and much needed discussion about the three main ideas. Here is all of the notes from that (Put together by Edwin) The final verdict was Ugly Fish Dinner, The proposal/pitch done by Zara and Melissa

 We had a very in depth discussion on Monday and It was decided that we would be doing an animated short filmed with the working title Ugly Fish Dinner. I will be going for the role of producer for this project, as well as concept artist and audio design.  I think we are going to do super well with this project and create a very different project when compared to previous years.

 So it was voted on that we would be making a choose your own adventure.  While this a cool idea in theory, there is a lot of technical problems that have already been raised.  We have a small group of 15 students. The scale in which this project needs to be great is a full production company.  I did some independent research into creating a choose your own adventure story. Here is the problems I have found Peoples core talents not utilized Choices need to have meaning (not like Telltale games) Its very complicated to create a good story for a choose your own adventure How will we display this effectively? The flowchart for this project is complicated and messy It took 2 years to make a 1hr 30min project like this, and that was with a fully professional production company There isn't a lot of time to create something like this No time has been suggested for project No room for error which will cause so much stress later on Script writing and storyboarding needs to be...

 During this class I worked on background production.  A discord has been set up and it will soon be completely filled with everything we need to do.
